Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord,

or who has been his counselor?”

“Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?”

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen

Have you ever watched a musical? They are entertaining and strange at the same time. You are watching a movie and then all of a sudden you find yourself hearing a song about someone stranded at a drive in or trying to solve a problem like Maria. As surreal as a musical might be, it is how Christ made us. We are to be ready to bust out into song at a moment’s notice.

This portion is known as a Doxology. You might have sung the Doxology in church before, but that is hardly the only one. As Paul is writing to the church in Rome, he breaks out into song! This song isn’t really for us to break down into digestible bites. Instead, we are to join in and bask in the glow of this wonderful Jesus.

God is rich and we get to share in those riches! He instructs us. We don’t instruct Him! There is no gift you can give that is bigger than the gift of Christ Himself! For Him…through Him…to Him…let those words sink in. Let them run over you and feel their warmth. We have witnessed His glory. Never forget that feeling. Bask in His continuous glow.
