When you come to Impact, our goal is to make you feel welcome and at home. We currently meet in the Middle Tyger YMCA.

As you approach the entrance to the YMCA, we’ll greet you and help you get where you’re going.  If you have a child, we'll help you get them settled in before showing you to the worship center.  Please check out our Impact Kids page to see what we offer for our children.  We have a fellowship time before service starts. We have free coffee every Sunday Morning.  Our Worship Gathering will start at 10:27 am.  We’ll make sure you feel right at home.

The vision for Impact has always been to reach out to make a difference in our community.  What better way to connect with the community than to meet at a building that already serves the community, the local YMCA.

YMCA stands for Young Men’s Christian Association.  Today it is a place for men and women, young and old, to get in shape or participate in an athletic activity.  Likewise, God wants us to get in shape spiritually and to participate in christian activities of study and service.  In a way, Impact is helping to put the “C” back into YMCA.  The partnership we have with the Y helps both organizations reach their goal to make an IMPACT on the community.

What denomination is Impact Community Church?

We’re a Southern Baptist Church.  When Impact formed, a core part of our vision was to be dedicated to the Biblical foundations of life as Jesus’ church, and partner with other churches to bring help and hope to the world. We knew right away that affiliating with the Southern Baptist Convention would help accomplish both of those things.  We are proud to give and serve with other believers who share our dedication to Jesus and His work.

What style of preaching can I expect?

Bible-based, relevant, practical and easy to understand.  Our pastor teaches God’s word in a conversational manner, using real life applications to speak life into real situations.

What is available for my child?

  • There is a Nursery and Children's Church for children ages birth through 5th grade provided during worship service for your convenience.

  • Impact Kids Preschool -5th grade meet on Sunday nights 6:00-7:30 at the YMCA for their purpose group which includes music time, a bible time, snack, crafts and games .

  • 6th-12th graders meet for Impact Students on Sunday evenings at 6:00 at the YMCA.  We also have a bible study for 6th - 12th grades that goes deeper into the bible that meets on Wednesday nights. For more information, click here.

What do you have for adults?

We have a full range of opportunities for adults at all stages of life to meet together on Sundays and throughout the week. These groups meet to socialize, study God’s word, pray and serve together — we call them Purpose Groups.  For more information, click here.

What style of music do you play?

Our worship services offer a wide range of music.  Mostly contemporary-style (Vertical Worship, Phil Wickham, etc.), but we love traditional hymns, too.  Our goal each week is to create a dynamic worship experience that connects with the needs of people and communicates an inspiring message.

What should I wear?

We have a comfortable environment and welcome everyone to come as they are. On Sundays you'll find most men and women dressed very casually.  While some may be fully dressed up, you'll also find many in shorts and tee shirts. Whatever you're wearing, we'll be glad to see you!
